Solva advisory office

Rooted in Bangkok.
Focused on what matters.

Solva was built around a single idea — that good thinking, done with the right people, produces better decisions.

Why Solva exists

Solva came out of a frustration that will feel familiar to anyone who has run a company in Southeast Asia. There was no shortage of advice — from peers, from reading, from consultants. What was hard to find was someone who would slow down, ask the right questions, and help the leadership team think through the situation at hand before reaching for answers.

We started in Bangkok in 2019 with that specific intention. The practice was designed to be small and focused — not a large firm offering broad services, but a dedicated advisory relationship for founders and senior leaders who needed a structured space to think.

Over the years, the work has deepened. We have sat alongside companies navigating their first period of real growth, others working through a shift in leadership, and some simply trying to get clarity on what the next twelve months should look like. In each case, the pattern of useful work has been the same: listen carefully, ask questions that clarify, document what matters, and show up consistently.

Solva remains based in Bangkok, with a focus on Thailand and the wider region. The team is small by design, and every engagement gets senior-level attention from beginning to end.

What we believe about good advisory work

Listen before advising

Context matters more than frameworks. We spend time understanding the situation before offering perspective.

Write things down

A conversation without a written record fades quickly. Every engagement produces clear, usable documentation.

Show up consistently

Strategy is not a one-time event. Useful advisory work happens over time, with attention paid at each step.

Honest over comfortable

We share what we observe, including the things that are harder to hear. That is the only version of advisory work we think is useful.

The people behind your advisory work

Solva is a small practice. Every engagement is handled by a senior advisor — not passed down to a junior team.

Our professional standards

Confidentiality as standard

All engagement content is treated with strict discretion. We are prepared to sign non-disclosure agreements before sessions begin, and we never reference client work without explicit permission.

Written outputs every time

No engagement ends without a written record. Session summaries, priority lists and milestone outlines are clear, concise, and structured for practical use by your team.

Reliable scheduling

Sessions are confirmed in advance with clear timing. We respect your schedule and keep each session focused and purposeful so that the time is well used.

Preparation before sessions

We review previous notes and any materials shared before each session. This means the conversation begins where it left off — not from the beginning each time.

Data handling with care

Engagement notes and documents are stored securely. We follow straightforward data practices and can outline our handling procedures on request.

Transparent communication

If an engagement is not serving you well, we say so. Clear communication about scope, progress and any changes keeps the relationship grounded and productive.

Strategy advisory for organisations navigating real decisions

Solva operates as a strategy advisory practice, working directly with the people who carry responsibility for the direction of their organisations. The work is not theoretical — it is grounded in the actual decisions that founders and senior leaders face week to week.

Across our three engagement types, the common thread is structured thinking. We bring a clear framework to conversations that could otherwise go in circles, and we document the outcomes in a way that your team can act on. Whether the question is about short-term priorities, the shape of the next quarter, or a longer-term shift in direction, the approach is the same: understand the situation carefully before offering perspective.

Operating from Bangkok gives Solva a particular understanding of the conditions that companies face in Thailand and across Southeast Asia — the regulatory context, the pace of market change, the dynamics of working across regional offices, and the specific challenges of growing a leadership team in this environment. That context is part of every engagement, not an afterthought.

Solva's advisors have worked across industries including consumer goods, professional services, technology, and education — bringing breadth of experience without claiming to be specialists in any single sector. The expertise lies in the process of thinking clearly and making decisions well, not in industry-specific knowledge.
